Polar Animals

We wrapped up our unit of study on polar animals with a science experiment.  We discussed how blubber keeps animals warm in the snow and ice.  We felt ice with our bare hands.  Next, we placed the blubber glove (crisco in a ziploc bag) on our hand and felt the ice.  The blubber kept our hands warm!

We also went ice fishing for letters!
