Polar Animals
We learned about polar animals this week in Pre-K. Our favorite activity was exploring blubber. We touched ice with our bare hands and described how it felt. Next, we touched the ice again with blubber on our hand (Crisco in a Ziploc baggie). We know now that blubber keeps animals warm in the snow and ice. Mrs. Smith did not take any pictures because she was covered in blubber! :) We also worked on letter recognition with our ice fishing game. We wrapped up our unit with a tasty snack- polar bear faces. Our student teacher Mrs. Roberson did a GREAT job leading the lesson!
